Three new Irish films come to Inis Oírr this June

We are delighted to announce the programme for the 2026 GFS Screenings on Inis Oírr, taking place at Áras Éanna Arts Centre on Sunday 14 June.

This year’s afternoon screening is Nick Kelly’s The Song Cycle, the Galway Film Fleadh Audience Award documentary about cycling from Dublin to Glastonbury. Nick will join us for a Q&A afterwards.

The evening screening is Lance Daly’s TRAD, a coming-of-age story about a young fiddle player who joins a band of nomadic musicians. Lance Daly will join us for a post-screening Q&A.

Both feature screenings will be preceded by ANAM, a four-minute Irish-language animation by Ailbhe Fearon and Muireann Mulvihill, inspired by the island itself.
